Snake-A-Way Safe & Effective Snake Repellent 1.75lbs.
Environmentally effective, dry granular snake repellent. Safe when used as directed; effectively repels rattle snakes (genus crotalus) and checkered garter snakes (Thanmophis Marianus). Not as consistent in repelling corn snakes and other rat snakes, and "moccasin" snakes, such as cotton-mouths and copperheads.
Snake-A-Way is a granular repellent that is applied around the permeter of the area to be protected. When snakes come in contact with the product they are deterred because it interferes with their sensory reception system. The snake flicks its tongue and places the forks of his tongue into the roof of his mouth where the Jacobson's organ is located. Scents and vapor molecules are picked up by the snake giving it very specific details of what is around it. Snake-A-Way temporarily shuts this sensory reception down, leaving the snake disoriented, causing the snake to leave the area to seek fresh air.
